The SAT has evolved. It is now shorter, faster, and fully digital.
Test Structure
The test consists of two main sections:
- Reading and Writing (RW): 64 minutes, 54 questions.
- Math: 70 minutes, 44 questions.
Each section is divided into two modules.
Timing & Pacing
- RW Module 1 & 2: ~32 minutes each.
- Math Module 1 & 2: ~35 minutes each.
Essential Tools
- Bluebook App: The official testing platform.
- Built-in Desmos Calculator: Available for the entire math section.
- Reference Sheet: Standard math formulas provided in-app.
What's Different?
- Sorter Passages: No more long, boring essays. Each question has its own short passage.
- Calculators Everywhere: You can use your own or the built-in Desmos for all math questions.
- Faster Results: Scores are available in days, not weeks.
