Privacy Policy
We collect the minimum we need to run an IELTS preparation platform: your account, your practice history, and the responses you ask us to grade. We do not sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time.

Who we are
In short
Imora Education operates imora.uz and the Imora apps for iOS and Android. This policy covers all of them.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Imora Education (“Imora”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the Imora website at imora.uz or the Imora mobile applications distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to every Imora product unless a feature tells you otherwise at the point of use.
If anything here is unclear, contact us at support@imora.uz before using the platform — by creating an account you confirm you have read this policy.
Information we collect
In short
Account details, your practice history, the writing and speaking you submit for feedback, your subscription status, and basic usage data. Nothing more.
- Account details — your name, email address, and, if you sign in with Google or Telegram, the identifier and basic profile (name, photo) those services share with us. We never see your passwords for those services.
- Practice data — your answers, scores, band estimates, streaks, XP, completed lessons, vocabulary progress, and study-planner entries.
- Submissions — writing responses you type and speaking responses you record when you explicitly ask for AI feedback. Audio is only captured while you are recording; the microphone is never accessed in the background.
- Payment records — which plan you bought, when, and its status. Card numbers are handled entirely by our payment processors and are never stored on Imora’s servers.
- Usage & device data — pages and screens visited, feature usage, approximate region, and general device, OS, and browser information, used for analytics and to keep the service secure.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or any data from other apps on your device.
How we use your data
In short
To run Imora, grade your practice, process payments, send reminders you opted into, and keep the service secure. We never sell your personal data.
- to provide the platform, save your progress, and personalise practice;
- to generate AI feedback and estimated band scores on your submissions;
- to process purchases and manage your Pro access;
- to send study reminders through Telegram or push notifications, only if you enable them;
- to answer support requests;
- to understand aggregate usage, improve the platform, and prevent abuse and fraud.
We rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (running the platform), your consent (reminders, microphone recording), and our legitimate interests (security, analytics, improving the service). We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
AI processing of your submissions
In short
Writing and speaking you submit for feedback is sent to an AI provider to be graded. It is used to grade your work — not to advertise to you.
When you request feedback on a writing or speaking response, we send that submission to a third-party AI provider (currently Google’s Gemini API) to generate the evaluation. The submission is transmitted securely and used to produce your feedback. AI-generated scores are estimates for study purposes only — see the Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.
Data retention and account deletion
In short
We keep your data while your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we erase your personal data within 30 days.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, so your progress is there when you come back. You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time, two ways:
- in the mobile app, under Profile → Account → Delete account. This acts immediately: your profile, practice history, results, course and vocabulary progress, study plan, leaderboard entries and sign-in credential are erased as you confirm it.
- by emailing support@imora.uz from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account” — the route to use if you can no longer sign in. We verify the request and erase the account within 30 days.
Full details of what is erased and what is kept are on our account deletion page. Limited records are retained longer only where the law requires it — completed payments are kept as accounting records for tax purposes, and are not linked to a usable account once it is deleted. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on the backup rotation cycle rather than being rewritten on request. Deletion is available to all users, including those who signed up through the mobile apps or with Telegram.
Security
In short
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and payments never touch our servers.
All traffic between your device and Imora is encrypted with TLS. Session tokens are stored in secure, HttpOnly cookies; access to production data is limited to those who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you without undue delay.
Your rights
In short
Access, correct, export, or delete your data — or withdraw consent — by emailing us. No fee, no hoops.
Wherever you live, we extend the same rights to you. You can:
- access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy in a portable format;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your account and data (see section 7);
- withdraw consent for optional processing, such as reminders, at any time;
- object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests;
- complain to your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email support@imora.uz from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days and never charge for a first request.
Mobile apps and device permissions
In short
The apps ask permission before using the microphone or sending notifications, and both are optional. We do not track you across other apps.
The Imora apps for iOS and Android collect the same data described above, and request device permissions only when a feature needs them:
- Microphone — requested only when you start a speaking exercise, used only while you record, and always revocable in your device settings.
- Notifications — study reminders are strictly opt-in and can be turned off in the app or in your device settings at any time.
We do not use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) or Android advertising ID, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The data-collection disclosures on our App Store product page and Google Play Data Safety section reflect this policy. Declining any optional permission never blocks the rest of the app.
Children
In short
Imora is for users 13 and over. If a younger child has signed up, tell us and we will delete the account.
Imora is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at support@imora.uz and we will delete it promptly.
Changes and contact
In short
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we tell you before it takes effect.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The date at the top always reflects the latest version, and for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
